Glinda the glitter fairy by sicktwistedfork Glinda the glitter fairy by sicktwistedfork
Yeah, looooots of glitter for this one. I made her mainly as am experimentation for hair which is curled, in a bun and has plaits running along the sides if you look closely. I liked her and the little girl she went to likes her more.

She's beautiful, and all the glitter detail on her wings and dress is really impressive. Her hair is wonderful-- did you have to curl it yourself? How did you curl it? =P

take one hell of a lot of embroidery thread and then a coctail stick, the lil wodden ones. Then tie the thread off at one end and keep winding the thread up and down the stick until you have enough for what you want it for. After that LIGHTLY coat the whole thiong in a PVA and water mix, leave overnight and then you have curly thread. My Mum came up with that one, I just perfected the technique :)

That's quite a process to have to go through! It has beautiful results, though. Have you sold any of these little dolls? I know you sold them for charity, but I mean for your own profit? =P
